Home-grown produce & home-made food also available !
Low Glengyre Luxury Self-Catering & CL Site is located on a family-run dairy farm only 7 miles from Stranraer giving easy access to the Northern Irish Ferry Routes. While enjoying the advantages of the rural location, they are separate and distant from the main farmyard!
Peaceful and quiet with exceptional views, this is a nature lovers paradise with a glen on your doorstep, deer roaming near-by, red squirrels and both barn and tawny owls.
We have set up everything to provide a 'home away from home'. Including laundry facilities, heated shower room, toilets, hot & cold water, handwashing facilities at waste disposal area & hardstanding pitches at the CL site.
As caravanners and self-catering users ourselves, we know what is needed to make your stay the best that it can be.
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in our luxury caravan but dogs are welcome at the CL site and a maximum of two in the Hidden Hideaway. Of course, they need to be picked up after and be kept on leads around the site but with a 360 acre farm, there are lots of lovely walks in the area.
From the farm there are views across to Ireland and you can view the sea on three sides. Take the opportunity to view a working farm 'up close and personal'. Our aim is to try and make your holiday the very best it can be so anything we can do to help, we will.
This area is an outdoor paradise! Whether your interest is gardening, walking, golfing, fishing or simply enjoying the scenery around you, this area is for you.
Exceptional sub-tropical gardens - Logan Botanic, Castle Kennedy, Ardwell, Glenwhan & Dunskey. Beautiful sandy beaches for the kids - and the young at heart! More traditional tourist attractions include Port Logan Fish Pond/Marine Life Centre, Creetown Gem Rock Museum, Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, Glenluce Abbey & Monreith Animal World. You are also only a 'hop, skip & a jump' from Ireland and some excellent day trips.
The best thing about this part of Scotland is that once you arrive, you won't want to go home.
Open All Year Round.
